HKEX: HKEX in 2019: A Milestone Year In Review

HKEX has achieved significant progress in 2019: early in the year we launched a new three-year strategic plan with focus set on three pillars: China Anchored, Globally Connected and Technology Empowered. This year we topped the world's IPO fundraising list, achieved record volumes for our Stock and Bond Connect platforms, and launched a series of new products including Weekly Index Options on Hang Seng Index (HSI) and Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI). The Weekly HSI Options drew an encouraging response with single-day trading volume reaching 7,335 contracts in less than three months after launch.
