Jamaluddin Nor Mohamad
Chief Executive Officer
Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad

Jamaluddin bin Nor Mohamad is the Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad. He was appointed on 20 February 2017.

Prior to his appointment, he was the Director of Islamic Capital Market of Bursa Malaysia Berhad, spearheading the expansion and development of products and services of the Islamic Capital Market, which include equities, liquidity management and fixed income, as well as Labuan International Financial Exchange. He is instrumental to the success in the development and establishment of Bursa Malaysia-i, the world’s first end-to-end Shariah investing platform.

Jamaluddin brings with him over 25 years of experience in the banking industry in various capacities in Malaysia and abroad, including senior positions in Bumiputra Commerce Bank, Bank Simpanan Nasional and Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad.

He holds a Masters in Business Administration from University Putra Malaysia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ohio University as well as a Certificate in Investment Management from Securitie¬¬s Institute, UK.

Christopher Lee

As Senior Vice President of Partners, Chris is responsible for the international development and management of the market maker client base and building strategic relationships with international industry associations and technology providers to drive business growth, across all asset classes.


Chris joined HKEX in 2015 and brings over 25 years of financial services development, leadership and management expertise to the company. Chris joined HKEX from ABN AMRO Clearing NV where he was most recently the Global Head of Execution Services, responsible for developing and managing global execution services providing infrastructure and trading services across equities, derivatives, commodities and FX. Prior to this, Chris held a number of sales trading positions with BARCLAYS Capital, NatWest markets and was managing director for a large electronic trading provider in the UK.

Christopher Edmonds
Senior Vice President, Financial Markets

Chris Edmonds is Senior Vice President, Financial Markets at Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE). In this role he oversees the development of initiatives within ICE's exchange listed and OTC financial markets, including all futures and options, credit derivatives, ICE Link and ICE Swap Trade. Since February of 2010 Edmonds served as President of ICE Clear Credit, ICE’s wholly-owned credit default swap (CDS) clearing house. As president of ICE Clear Credit, Edmonds was responsible for ICE's North American credit derivatives clearing operations.

Prior to joining ICE, Edmonds was Chief Executive Officer of the International Derivatives Exchange Group (IDCG) a clearing house for interest rate swaps. Prior to IDCG, Edmonds was the Chief Development Officer for ICAP Energy. Edmonds held a variety of positions at ICAP between 2002 and 2008, and at APB Energy between 1997 and 2002. His professional career prior to APB Energy focused on advising businesses on strategic planning in the areas of technology, sales and marketing and operations.

Edmonds earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is Series 3 and Series 30 licensed.

Matthias Rietig

Matthias Rietig is Senior Officer and Chief Representative of Singapore Branch of Osaka Exchange, Inc. (OSE), the derivatives arm of Japan Exchange Group (JPX Group).

Since joining Osaka Securities Exchange (current Osaka Exchange) in 2006, Mr. Rietig continues to lead OSE’s international derivatives marketing with a focus on driving growth and expansion of OSEs global investor base. Also, he played a key role in the integration of the derivatives markets between OSE and Tokyo Stock Exchange in March 2014. From 2012, he is based in Singapore for further development of the communication with Asian and Global investors.

Prior to joining OSE, Mr. Rietig started his professional career with Deutsche Boerse AG in 1998 and left the company in 2003 for a short 8-month stint with Monex Securities Inc. in Tokyo, one of the leading Japanese online brokers. After returning to Europe, he joined the Global Markets team at Deutsche Bank, covering Euro-bonds and Autobahn trades for the London desk before taking up a role as ECB watcher for the Japanese Ministry of Finance in Frankfurt.
Mr. Rietig studied economics and Japanese studies at the Goethe University of Frankfurt. He received a CDG-fellowship grant by the German parliament in 2003.

Mr. Rietig is married and father of one son.

Taejoo Choi
Director General of Global Derivatives Market

Taejoo Choi is Director General of Global Derivatives Market at Korea Exchange (KRX). His responsibility covers derivatives global marketing, business development and market operations. He started his career in the exchange industry at Korea Futures Exchange (KOFEX) in 1997. In KOFEX he worked for the establishment of the exchange in 1999 and was deeply involved in developing the market structure of the Korean Derivatives Market.


He held the post of Chief Operating Officer and Vice Chairman of Laos Securities Exchange which established in 2011 as a joint venture between KRX and Bank of Laos. Prior to this, he served as the Head of International Relations and Derivatives Product Development in KRX.

Alex Lenhart
UK Country Manager and Head of Sales for Europe and USA

Alex Lenhart joined the SGX in October 2016 as the UK Country Manager and Head of Sales for Europe and USA. Alex joined from Credit Suisse where he was recently European Head of Prime Derivative Services and responsible for futures execution and clearing, OTC client clearing and FXPB. Prior to Credit Suisse, Alex was a Managing Director in the futures business at UBS working out of both the London and Stamford, USA offices for over 5 years. Prior to UBS, Alex spent 7 years at JP Morgan in London and Frankfurt in futures sales.

 

Dr. Shih-Chuan Tsai

Shih-Chuan Tsai is the Senior Executive Vice President at TAIFEX. He joined TAIFEX after an eminent career in academia, with his last position as a Professor of Finance at the College of Management in National Taiwan Normal University.

At TAIFEX, Dr. Tsai oversees the departments of trading and business development, covering the works of product research and development, corporate strategy planning, international cooperation and strategic alliance, market trading mechanism, marketing and promotion, and domestic public relations. Dr. Tsai is also a member on TAIFEX Trading Committee and the Editorial Committee of the Journal of Futures and Options.

In his academic career and as the recipient of several distinguished teaching awards, Dr. Tsai has also been productive in research. With empirical research conducted on financial markets, derivatives pricing, market microstructure, behavioral finance, and margin system, Dr. Tsai’s work is widely published in major finance journals including Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Fixed Income, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Financial Review, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, North American Journal of Economics and Finance, Review of Futures Market, and International Review of Economics and Finance among others.

Dr. Tsai received his Ph.D. in Finance/Economics from the Boston University and MBA and Bachelor in Finance from the National Taiwan University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 

Dr. Rinjai Chakornpipat, CFA

Dr. Rinjai Chakornpipat, CFA is a Senior Executive Vice President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) taking care of derivatives and equity product trading and development. She is also the Managing Director of Thailand Futures Exchange, a subsidiary of SET group. Prior join SET, she served as Senior Executive Vice President of Retail Business at Maybank Kim Eng Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited, the biggest brokerage house in Thailand.

 

Dr. Rinjai was originally one of the team leaders who established Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX) in 2004.  She has extensive experience in the Thai capital market in various aspects such as product & business development, sales and marketing, international relations in both securities and derivatives markets.  She also has experience in portfolio management and securities analysis.  She earned a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and doctoral degree in business administration from Cleveland State University, United States, after graduating with an MBA from Chulalongkorn University and bachelor of business administration from Thammasat University.
